Below is a selection of details and features on the Capitano 140 compressor.

IK 100 compressor block

The BAUER IK 100 series compressor block has been designed for the most demanding professional applications. Dimensioned for more than 30,000 operating hours, it has proven its worth in thousands of application scenarios.

With their outstanding surface hardness, plasma-nitrided and plateau-honed cylinders are able to achieve extremely long service lives combined with low energy consumption and reliable oil lubrication of cylinder surfaces.

Furthermore, wear-resistant piston rings in the final stage minimize running costs. The compressor block is both efficient and reliable. Stainless steel cooling ribs on the cooler in the final stage provide the basis for particularly efficient cooling and thus very long service life.

P 21 filter system

When used in conjunction with original BAUER filter cartridges, the P 21 filter system with integrated oil and water separator and pressure retention check valve can be relied upon for breathing air treatment conforming to DIN EN 12021¹. A type-tested and sealed final pressure safety valve enables particularly high levels of operational safety to be achieved. 140 m³ of air can be treated.

¹ If the units are maintained and installed correctly as described in the operating instructions or user manual and if the concentration of CO2 in the intake air does not exceed the values specified in the applicable standard for breathing air.

Filling device

The filling device comprises a flexible “UNIMAM” high-pressure filling hose and filling valve complete with final pressure gauge. The final pressure gauge makes it easy to read off the filling pressure. It is protected against damage by a durable rubber jacket.

Filling hose

High-quality UNIMAM high-pressure filling hoses made from food-safe and long-life hose material make for flexible and safe handling. Swivel hose connections enable the filling valve to be connected to the breathing air cylinder quickly, easily and safely.

Motor rocker

The integration of a motor rocker means that the tension of the V-belt no longer has to be adjusted.

Crash frame complete with handles

As well as providing additional protection for the unit, the crash frame with its integrated fold-out handles makes moving the unit easy and convenient.

Automatic condensate drain incl. final pressure shutdown and control conforming to European CE standard

The automatic condensate drain is controlled via the electrical control system. The condensate produced can be collected in a condensate tank for disposal in an environmentally-friendly way.

Compressor control (PROFI-LINE)

This electrical control system with additional monitoring electronics switches the compressor off automatically when the final pressure is reached in the system, measures operating hours and oil pressure, and displays the current operating status. As such, it facilitates fully automatic operation with storage systems.

Crash frame incl. handles

The corrosion-resistant crash frame provides additional protection for the unit and can accommodate additional accessories such as a compressor control or a larger filter system. The handles make moving the unit easy and convenient.

Switch-over device PN 300/200 bar

Adding the optional switch-over device makes switching from 200 to 300 bar and vice versa easy and flexible.

The switch-over device enables breathing air cylinders to be filled with both 200 bar and 300 bar.

For optimum limiting of the maximum operating pressure, each of the two pressure ranges is protected with a type-tested final pressure safety valve.

P 31 filter system

A type-tested and sealed final pressure safety valve enables particularly high levels of operational safety to be achieved. 600 m³ of air can be treated.

B-TIMER filter cartridge monitoring

The operating hours and the current level of cartridge saturation are displayed on the unique B-TIMER mini-computer. The B-TIMER flashes when a cartridge change is due. At the same time, the purchase order of the filter cartridge required is shown on the display. This ensures that the very best use is made of the filter’s capacity at all times.

Telescopic intake tube

The telescopic intake tube is highly recommended when operating compressor units in locations with increased concentrations of hazardous substances such as CO or CO2.
It enables the intake range of the compressor to be moved to a suitable location.

Trolley

The trolley provides an easy and convenient mode of transport for mobile compressor units. Fitted with pneumatic tyres, the trolley maximises mobility.

Additional intermediate separator after the first stage

In the case of operation in locations where air humidity is high (tropical regions, for example), we recommend installing a separator downstream of the first compressor stage. This can extend the service life of the unit and reduce maintenance costs.

Additional filling device PN 200 or PN 300 bar

There is the option to supplement an existing filling valve with the addition of one or more filling valves with filling hoses of varying lengths.

Other voltages/frequencies

All electric motors are available with other voltages and frequencies on request. A voltage range from 110 to 690 V at 50/60 Hz is covered.

B-TIMER filterovervågning

Trolley
