Mini-Verticus, 150-320 l/min

The new MINI-VERTICUS combines the legendary BAUER compressor blocks with improved components and ultra-modern design! During the redesign, the focus was on ergonomics, making operation as easy as possible, reducing noise and boosting efficiency. MINI-VERTICUS is now available with a higher charging rate of 320 l/min and with an open design as standard.

As Super Silent version, the MINI-VERTICUS is ideal for use in environments where noise is a key concern and for customers who need reliable and durable service combined with low running costs.
The advanced B-CONTROL MICRO is more powerful and ready to communicate with the B-APP for remotely controlling and monitoring the compressor.
All control elements that are important for everyday operation are ergonomically arranged and easily accessible from the front.
A proven and powerful unit concept that is setting new standards in technology and ergonomics with outstanding BAUER quality and cutting edge technology.

Below is a selection of details and features on the Mini-Verticus compressor.

IK 100 and IK 120 compressor blocks

The BAUER IK 100 and IK 120 series compressor blocks have been designed for the most demanding professional applications. Dimensioned for more than 30,000 operating hours, they have proven their worth in thousands of application scenarios.

With their outstanding surface hardness, plasma-nitrided and plateau-honed cylinders are able to achieve extremely long service lives combined with low energy consumption and reliable oil lubrication of cylinder surfaces.

Furthermore, wear-resistant piston rings in the final stage minimize running costs. The compressor block is both efficient and reliable. The cooling ribs on the stainless steel cooler provide the basis for particularly efficient cooling and thus very long service life.

IK 12.14 compressor block

The BAUER IK 12.14 compressor block is used for both breathing air and industrial units.

Its durability, reliability and high-quality design provide the basis for fault-free operation of the compressor.

With their outstanding surface hardness, plasma-nitrided and plateau-honed cylinders are able to achieve extremely long service lives combined with low energy consumption and reliable oil lubrication of cylinder surfaces.

P 41 Purification system

When used in conjunction with original BAUER filter cartridges, the P 41 filter system with additional oil and water separator and pressure retention check valve can be relied upon for breathing air treatment conforming to DIN EN 12021:2014¹. A type-tested and sealed final pressure safety valve enables particularly high levels of operational safety to be achieved. 1550 m³ of air can be treated.

¹ If the units are maintained and installed correctly as described in the user manual and subject to the BAUER AERO-GUARD being used if CO2 concentration in the intake air exceeds prescribed standard values.

B-CONTROL MICRO compressor control

The B-CONTROL MICRO is a modern, easy-to-use compressor control with colour display for the intelligent control and reliable monitoring of all basic functions.

Interaction between user and control is user-friendly and logical. The information on the display can be read off in plain text. Various languages are available for selection.

Additional benefit: interfacing with external input/output signal encoders is possible at any time, as is interconnected operation or the connection of an external display unit.

B-DRAIN automatic condensate drain

The automatic condensate drain automatically removes the condensate that forms during compression (water/oil mixture) from the intermediate separators and the final separator and collects it in a condensate vessel.

The newly developed and patented B-DRAIN automatic condensate drain uses individually controlled solenoid valves to ensure reliable, automatic condensate removal from the compressor separators.

The innovative design enables condensate to be drained in a gentle, controlled manner while minimising the pressure drop. This saves energy and helps to increase the efficiency of the compressor unit. At the same time, the new B-DRAIN is much quieter than conventional solutions.

A condensate vessel with 40% more capacity is integrated in the housing of the MINI-VERTICUS resp. VERTICUS. The compressor control monitors the fill level and informs the operator in good time if the condensate needs to be emptied

Motor rocker

The integration of a motor rocker means that the tension of the V-belt no longer has to be adjusted.

Below is a selection of equipment options on the Mini-Verticus compressor.

Super Silent version

Super Silent housing reduces the noise level of the compressor unit and makes the unit compatible for operation in working environments where noise is a key concern. For units in the (MINI-) VERTICUS series, Super Silent sound insulation can be retrofitted on request.

P 61 Purification system

When used in conjunction with original BAUER filter cartridges, the P 61 purification system with additional oil and water separator and pressure retention check valve can be relied upon for breathing air treatment conforming to DIN EN 12021:2014¹. A type-tested and sealed final pressure safety valve enables particularly high levels of operational safety to be achieved. 2400 m³ of air can be treated.

B-APP

B-APP allows users to remotely control and monitor compressors with the new B-CONTROL MICRO. B-APP also offers additional features such as product-specific news, videos, an integrated dealer search function and calculation tools. Available in the AppStore (iOS) and on GooglePlay (Android)

Integrated gas measurement system B-DETECTION PLUS i

As an option, the B-DETECTION PLUS i gas measurement system can be integrated into the compressor. This permits the monitoring of all gases required by DIN EN 12021:2014. Thanks to the option for discharge to the outside in the event of short-term contamination and the shut-down of the compressor in the event of extended overruns of the limit values, observance of DIN EN 12021:2014 can be ensured at all times1.

B-SECURUS filter monitoring

The B-SECURUS system monitors the saturation of the filter cartridge(s) by measuring the moisture in the molecular sieve and outputs a warning on the display or the compressor control in advance of when the filter cartridge should be changed.

B-SECURUS automatically switches the compressor unit off when the cartridge reaches saturation point. The B-SECURUS filter monitoring unit can only be used in conjunction with P 41/P 42/P 61/P 81 filter systems and external BAUER filter systems.

Monitoring the intermediate pressures and intermediate stage temperatures

This monitoring system is recommended for continuous operation and fully automated operation, as well as for compressor units that do not receive regular attention from specialist personnel. Monitoring tracks the minimum value of stage 1 (intermediate pressure only) and the maximum value of all compressor stages. The compressor unit shuts off if the values monitored fall below or exceed the permissible limit values. The actual value is displayed by the B-CONTROL II compressor control unit.

Oil level monitoring

Optional oil level monitoring system for safely switching off the compressor unit when the oil level is low.
If the oil level reaches the minimum mark, this is displayed on the control and the compressor is switched off automatically for safety reasons. This option is particularly recommended for compressor units in continuous operation

Particulate filter

In combination with the P41, P61 or P81 purification systems, an optional integrated particulate filter is available for effective protection against fine dust and other solid particles. This permits the reliable removal of particles in accordance with ISO 8573 class 2.

Connection for external intake system

When filling breathing air cylinders, the quality of the compressed air is dependent on the quality of the ambient air intake. Clean fresh air must be taken in from an external source in particular if there is a risk of exhaust gases (CO) and exhaust air from other units. A connection for an external suction line has been provided for this purpose.

B-CONTROL II compressor control

The advanced version of the proven B-CONTROL MICRO compressor control.

The B-CONTROL II features a 5.7″ colour touch screen display with 10 direct selection keys. Interaction between user and control is user-friendly and logical. The information on the display can be read off in clear text. Various languages are available for selection.

As well as supporting the control and monitoring of important system functions, the B-CONTROL II also features additional user-friendly features such as a data logger, USB port and accessible interfaces such as Modbus, CAN Bus or Profibus. It can even be used for integrated control of an interconnected system with up to four compressors.

Additional sensors and devices can be connected, e.g. for monitoring intermediate pressures and temperatures. Remote data transfer via B-MESSENGER is supported as an option.

The B-CONTROL II can be customised and expanded to meet your individual requirements – including control of end-to-end system sequences.

Intermediate pressure gauge kit

The intermediate pressure gauges show the operating pressure of the individual compressor stages. This information about the pressure is used to check the corresponding stage valves (inlet and outlet) for leaks so that potential faults can be detected quickly. The intermediate pressure gauges are installed inside the compressor housing.

First stage separator

Installation of a separator after the first compressor stage is recommended for units operating in conditions where the ambient air has a high moisture content (e.g. tropical regions) and for effective compression of gases with a high moisture content.

The increased volume of condensate is safely discharged, minimising the risk of contamination of the compressor oil.
The additional separator after the first stage is available as an optional extra for compressors and units in the MINI-VERTICUS and VERTICUS series.

Filling device 4 × 200 bar

The filling device consists of four flexible UNIMAM high-pressure filling hoses and one filling valve each for 200 bar. The integrated final pressure gauge makes it easy to read off the final pressure

The filling device consists of four flexible UNIMAM high-pressure filling hoses and one filling valve each for 300 bar. The integrated final pressure gauge makes it easy to read off the final pressure.

Pressure Reducer

The optional pressure reducer enables simultaneous filling of 200 and 300 bar cylinders.

Base frame

The compressor and up to 2 storage bottles each with a geometric capacity of 50 or 80 litres are installed on the extended base frame, making this a turnkey system.

Exhaust shaft

Two types of exhaust shaft are available for the installation of compressors in containers, housings or service rooms.

The exhaust shaft without ventilation dampers discharges the heated cooling air out of the top of the compressor.

Exhaust shaft with ventilation dampers provides the means via which the cooling air is discharged into the surrounding room or outdoors under controlled conditions and dependent on temperature.

In principle, it is possible to connect both types of exhaust shaft to one exhaust duct. This is only possible in conjunction with Super-Silent housing

Exhaust shaft with ventilation damper control

The exhaust shaft with ventilation damper control provides the means via which the exhaust air is discharged into the surrounding room or outdoors under controlled conditions and dependent on temperature. A temperature sensor measures the temperature in the room and controls the position of the ventilation dampers for optimised operation (only possible in conjunction with a Super-Silent housing).

Other voltages/frequencies

All electric motors are available with other voltages and frequencies on request. A voltage range from 110 to 690 V at 50/60 Hz is covered.

B-KOOL refrigeration dryer

In environments in which ambient temperatures are high in particular, the B-KOOL refrigeration dryer extends filter capacity almost beyond belief. Operators benefit from much lower filter cartridge usage and storage costs in addition to longer interruption-free operation

AERO-GUARD – Efficient cleaning of CO₂ from breathing air

Using the AERO-GUARD reduces the CO2 content of the breathing air to approximately one-third of the intake value. The constantly increasing levels of CO2 concentration in the air resulting from unfavourable environmental influences are making it more and more difficult for the operators of filling stations to be sure of achieving compliance with legally binding maximum limits for CO2. With AERO-GUARD the operator is always on the safe side

Automatic selector unit

An automatic selector unit supports fully automatic switch-over between BAUER high-pressure storage units and the compressor unit.

External BAUER filling panels

Depending on requirements, filling panels are supplied with filling hoses or lever filling valves with 4, 6 or 10 filling valves. A stainless steel design can be provided as an option.

60 l condensate collection system

This convenient system provides a central collection point for the condensate (oil and water mixture) produced during the compression process inside the compressor. The condensate tank features an integrated float switch which can be relied upon to monitor the level of condensate in the tank and provides protection against overfilling. A combined silencer and filter unit prevents pollution caused by noise or odour.

MINI-VERTICUS
